Okay, do any of you know what a flugelhorn is? None, right? I mean, your average person will not have one heckuvan idea what a flugelhorn is. But P (who *thinks* he’s a musical genius–you’ll kinda get the idea later) does, because of his interest in musical instruments.
P’s favorite shows nowadays are Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Last Friday night, nearly at the end of the double Jeopardy round, Alex Trebek, the host gave this answer “it is a cross between a cornet and a bugle” which he was able to answer and NONE of the contestants were able to.
He was so happy to have done that that he was demanding that Alex Trebek “pay” him for the amount that he won (a couple of thou I think). He was going on and on and on about it till Saturday morning.
Over breakfast, he reiterated how that, since the other contestants didn’t answer, he should be compensated for his correct one. I kind of muttered, “Who else but you would know the question to that answer?” And he said, “Of course there are people who would know!” I said, “Sige nga, who?” And he said, “Why, musical geniuses, of course!” Hahahahahahahaha!
I think he was amazed that he was able to give the question to a particularly difficult Jeopardy answer that he truly feels he deserves the “dollars” (this is our word of the weekend. My ears are bleeding hearing the word “dollars”!).
Who knows, P might just one day find this article and decide to register himself as a contestant!
