Have any of you guys read this book?

Eric Carle is one of my favorite children’s book authors. This particular one that he wrote is quite popular. I personally think it’s a very “rich” book in that there are lots of things a child will learn—fruits, counting, days of the week, evolution of a caterpillar.
So when K took an interest, we would read the book to him very often. He loved it so much that he used to take it to school and finally the teachers decided to make it the theme for one quarter.
Here is his project from school—

Hi Jen! This is also Margaux’s favorite. She wants me to read this to her everynight. I also learned to like Eric Carle. The other one that Margaux likes as well is the “mixed cameleon.” K did a great job with his project!

My son Julian loves all those Eric Carle books. So wonderful to read. One of my students, a boy with Down’s Syndrome can even recite the Polar Bear book by memory. The project was a good idea. Thanks for sharing it. Take care!

Hi Jen, dropped by your site… I love Eric Carle! I have at least five of his books and Elissa loves every one of them. Their project is really nice and creative… At least your son can “relate” to the hungry caterpillar
